We’re delighted to share that Daniel Brooks has been promoted to a Chartered Financial Planner, which is a real reflection of the care and commitment he brings to every client relationship at Herbert Scott.
Daniel joined Herbert Scott in October 2022. After an undergraduate degree in History at the University of Kent, he took on a role at a self-invested pension company, where he discovered a genuine interest in financial services. What he found most rewarding, though, wasn’t the technical side, it was working closely with clients and finding solutions to help them reach their goals.
That’s exactly what he’s brought to Herbert Scott. Daniel has worked closely alongside and learnt from each of the Financial Planners at Herbert Scott and through doing so he has built close relationships with many of our clients. He has first-hand experience in each part of the planning process, from technical research and report writing, to presenting cash flow plans understanding what drives and motivates our clients. His role since joining the team has been built on the same relationship-led thinking that sits at the heart of Herbert Scott – understanding what matters before recommending anything at all.
Since starting his professional qualifications in June 2021, Daniel has sat and passed fifteen exams in total, achieving Chartered status in May 2025 – four years of consistent, dedicated study alongside a demanding client-facing role.
Daniel says “Qualifications matter, but what I’ve always found most rewarding is working closely with clients and finding solutions that help them reach their goals. Becoming a Chartered Financial Planner means I can bring even more to those conversations, it’s a natural next step in what drew me to this career in the first place.”
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his partner and their dog Pablo. You’ll often find him playing Padel or Beach Volleyball, out on his bike, or at the beach with his stand-up paddleboard.
Please join us in congratulating Daniel on this well-earned achievement.
