Our local clients will be very familiar with the enormity of the Lewes Bonfire celebrations. It is such a big part of the town’s tradition and normally we at Herbert Scott are happy to be spectators. This year, however, two of our employees, took two very different roles in the night’s celebrations.
Jemma Williams, one of our Senior Administrators, is a member of the Waterloo Bonfire Society. This year, she had the honour of dressing as a Tudor lady, part of the historical re-enactment that each society brings to life during the night’s festivities.
Hannah Bibby, our Practice Manager, is a First Aider with St John’s Ambulance and joined a large group of other medical professionals volunteering for the charity, to ensure the public and participants had medical support should they need it.
Hannah was coincidentally assigned to Waterloo Bonfire Society for the night and therefore walked with Jemma and her society members around the streets of Lewes for their processions and onto their bonfire and firework site.
It was a fun, loud and exciting night, and our Lewes resident Directors, Kevin and Ben, were excited to see Hannah and Jemma as they walked past.
We hope if any of our clients could get involved, they had a safe and enjoyable celebration!
Many thanks and credit to Eamonn Burke Duggan for the fabulous photos.
