Further to last month’s newsletter, where we introduced our intention to reduce our impact on the environment and make positive changes towards becoming net zero, we have begun to reassess our supply chain, focusing on strengthening ties with local businesses. This move aligns with the company’s commitment towards sustainability, quality, and community engagement.
The goal is to identify and prioritise partnerships with local businesses, ensuring that Herbert Scott supports the local economy. We wish to enhance product quality, reduce environmental impact, and foster a more resilient supply chain.
Where we have previously used large national companies, we are now beginning to support local businesses, where possible. We are proud to have now formed ties with two small, local businesses on Station Street, Riverside Flowers and The Lewes Print Centre and will keep you updated on any further developments in future EcoNews articles.
