Having enjoyed varied temporary roles with Lloyds Private Banking and Preferred Mortgages the development of Ben’s career in financial services truly began in 2006 when he joined a national firm of IFAs which subsequently became part of the Close Brothers Group.
Through the combination of industry qualifications and gaining exposure to all areas of financial planning Ben developed his skills and progressed to the role of paraplanner and technical expert; joining Herbert Scott in this function in 2013 supporting the existing financial planners.
Through the acquisition of further experience and continued professional development, in 2018 as part of the wider growth and development of the firm, Ben began his transition into a Financial Planner. This culminated in Ben acquiring his Chartered Financial Planner status together with authorisation from the FCA in July 2019.
Having grown up in Haywards Heath, Ben now lives in Lewes with his partner Emma. When not partaking in the local café culture, Ben will most likely be enjoying one of his other passions of sport, particularly rugby, movies, or travel.
“In simple terms, I really enjoy being able to use the knowledge and experience I have gained to help people design and maintain a financial plan that is focused on allowing them to achieve what they want from their lives”
