As many of you know from our previous blog, or maybe you were in attendance, Herbert Scott ran a raffle at this year’s Proms in the Paddock event.
Herbert Scott has sponsored Proms in the Paddock for a number of years now but only this year have we got our very own stall. We set up the raffle in order to get to know more of the lovely Lewesian people, and also in an effort to raise some money for our chosen charity, Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.
Chestnut Tree House has recently contacted us to confirm the final amount of the money raised. We were shocked to find that we’d raised £523.14 in just a days work!
We’d like to thank Tracey and Ben for giving up their free time and running the stall on such a rainy day. And, of course, thank you to all those who donated and participated in the raffle. Your generosity was outstanding.
Chestnut Tree House has commented ‘Our community are still being so supportive through incredible ways of fundraising. The ideas have been amazing to see! It really does mean so much knowing that you are all there to help us be able to continue to provide our services to those who need it most. Thank you once again for all your generosity, you have enabled local children and families who know they don’t have long together the chance to live life to the full and say goodbye in the way that is right for them.’
